We will accept submissions for this competition until March 23, 2007. We will not distribute or make available submitted player projections
until the close of MLB's regular season on September 30, 2007. After September 30, 2007, we will prepare and publish the relative ratings of the
highest scoring player projections according to the scoring system below:
Scoring
At the close of the regular season, we will evaluate each player's value as determined by the past season's statistics according to the
method described in our guide for evaluating players in a rotisserie league. We will
evaluate players according to a twelve team league, using a standard Yahoo public league team format
(C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, Bench, Bench, Bench) and scoring format (Runs, RBIs, HRs, STLs, Avg, Wins, Saves, Ks, ERA, WHIP). We will evaluate
based on a player's aggregate statistics for the season - not on a per game basis. In this way, we will assign each player a single numerical value based
on their importance in a standard fantasy baseball league. We will repeat this process for each submitted or collected set of player projections, assessing
a single value to each player according to that set of projections. Each set of player projections will be evaluated by determining the difference between
each player value as determined by the projection and as determined by the season's actual results. The score for the set of player projections will be
the sum of the squares of these differences. The projections with the smallest sums will be the top ranked projections, published on this website.
