Our reviews single out the five best websites for each given service, assuming that the service can be accessed for free (or with a free
registration) on the given website. Each website is ranked according to aspects that are particular to that service, as follows:
| Website |

Timeliness |

| Rotoworld/Sandbox |

RotoWorld is basically the king of free fantasy news sites, and they send their news
updates to Sandbox, so choosing between them is just a matter of look and feel. No other site has the sheer number of news items or the
speed of updates that RotoWorld does. The only way to get news faster is through a big forum site. The analysis is good,
and succinct, with the only weakness being a relative lack of minor league coverage. A miniscule gripe. |
| Fanball |

Fanball is a perfectly reasonable fantasy baseball news site, although
Rotoworld beats it, hands down. This is a reasonable site if you simply don't want to deal with the depth and breadth of news coverage
that Rotoworld provides. |
| KFFL |
6.5 |

KFFL has the most complete news available this side of Rotoworld. The problem
is that there is no analysis whatsoever. Some news items do not require any analysis at all to evaluate, but often it is useful to have a competent
person's commentary available to flesh out the significance of a particular news item. |
| Rotowire |
5.5 |

Rotowire is useful if you want to do real news scraping for yourself. This page
gives links to the local newspapers that cover all major league teams and their minor league affiliates. If you want thorough, this is thorough, although
probably you would only use this site when doing research on specific players, when doing draft prep. It's too clunky to use this on a regular basis. |
| Fantasy Info Central |

This is the best of the rest of the free news sites, but it doesn't really
compare to Rotoworld/Sandbox, or even to Fanball. |
